I finally got my 2-way keyless entry remote start system intsalled in my wifes blazer and there is a problem. When ever the car is either running or trying to remote start it triggers the alarm and the lights flash along with the siren. Please help. It would be greatly appreciated

Which alarm is it? Model # I mean. Most 2 way units can distinguish what sensor is triggering the alarm by looking at the screen. It may be the shock sensor. Your alarm may be designed where the shock sensor is still active when the car is running. If so, you would need to turn the sensitivity down.

see if it is the shock sensor, if it is, i know a way to bypass it with a relay. when u remote start the vehicle, there is a constant 12v in the ignition wire coming off the alarm as long as the vehicle is running. wire up the relay like this. cut the ground wire in the shock sensor harness. 85- tap into ignition wire 86-ground 87a-alarm side of ground wire in shock sensor harness 30- shock sensor side of ground wire 87- not used see this way, the ground wire stays connected by means of the relay. so the shock sensor will work when the alarm is armed. but as soon as u remote start the vehicle and 12v is in the ignition wire, the ground wire is no longer connected. -------------

I've done this many a times, Autostarts major flaw in there units is just that, shock sensor keeps going off even when remote started, which it shouldn't, but you can just as well throw a diode from the shock sensor ground to ignition, so when ignition is on, shock sensor recieves no ground thus making it dormant. If you have an alarm on the Jimmy, as well check to see when you shut down the vehicle if they put a radio shunt in, basically what that is, is when your vehicle shuts down the unit sends a pulse to the vehicles BCM to shut the radio down, if they didn't isolate it properly it will false trigger your alarm.

I am sorry for the delay but I tried to start it with the shock sensor. I unplugged it and the alarm was still triggered. I also looked at it when the car was running and it didn't trigger the sensor. The night I put it in something strange happened. After connecting the ground I armed it then hit the remote start button. The alarm went off and did not allow me to disarm. It some how shut the car down. I had no power what so ever. The next day I found a loose fuse tied into the positive battery cable. After tightening it, it brought me to where I am now. Alarm arms and disarms but is trigger when the ignition switch is on or when trying to remote start. Do you think it might of damaged the alarm system in some way?

this may sound silly, but the only thing i can think of besides the alarm unit being messed up is this....could you have, by any chance, for some strange reason hooked the positive door trigger input to your ignition wire? this would be a stupid thing to do , but hey we all make silly mistakes. check to see if u did cause the ignition turning on when the vehicle is started would send +12v thru the trigger inupt and set the alarm off.
