New Ford Diesel, an 03 if I remember right. I'm still fighting with the "wait to start" circuit. I found this information by following an old closed topic:

FORD, F SERIES SUPER DUTY, 2002, Tachometer

For tach go to any one of the ignition coils and use the wire that is NOT RED / lt. green. On diesel vehicles the tach wire is green or white, in a 42 pin plug under the clamp on the engine side of the air intake duct. On diesel vehicles the wait to start light is activated by a databus wire from the ECM. To do wait to start use a pulse timer relay and follow directfax document #1091.

Anyone want to describe a pulse timer relay to me? Anyone have access to directfax #1091 that would care to share with me? Thanks in advance.

BTW, this is the NEW 6.0L diesel and the underhood connectors etc. are not the same as the old diesel.

What kind of RS are you installing. I have put many on the new fords i always get the tach signal from the tach in the vehicle that way you dont have to go outside the cab. My RS have the option for the wait 15 sec before they remote start.

it's a compustar something something... problem is that in AK sometimes glow plugs cycle for a minute or more... sometimes not at all, so time delay isn't really an option. The tach is 100% taken care of, only issue is the wait to start.

I used Violet Orange in the main engine harness. It was a nogo. All the info I've found so far suggests violet orange in a huge plug underneath the air cleaner. There is no huge plug underneath the air cleaner like on the 7.3 I think the issue lies within the fact that no one has made an updated diagram for the 6.0
