Does anyone know of a repair program offered by DEI.  I believe that the output to pop the trunk is fried because I am not getting any reading w/ a DMM.  information like address phone number?

Thanks

Alan

If you had the unit installed you can take it back to the installer and have them send it off for repair for you. If you done the install yourself lots of luck. The best thing to do is to take it to a local shop and ask them to send it in for them. I have a 551t that I got sent off 2 weeks ago and have yet to get it back. I also had a C-60 sent off, but it came back in a week and the shop only charged me 10 dollars, which is what dei charged them.

WHy do you think its fried? Did you see or smell smoke? What happened to make you think this. You may be able to repair it yourself if it is just an issue of a small burning of the solder on the pc board.

wire up a relay and see if it clicks the coil on and off.  take the (-) RED / white to 85 and 12v to 86.

you do know that the button has to be pushed for a few seconds (3 to 5) before it triggers right?  some people we do installs for dont understand why the trunk doesnt open when they press it like a lock/unlock button.  its got to be held down until the relay triggers.
