Im having a problem installing an alarm into a 96 toyota corolla. This is basically the first time i have ever tried installing an alarm. I dont want to sound stupid but im very lost as to what im supposed to do next. I did all the connections, double checked with a multimeter to be sure everything was right. Up next i hooked up all the connectors to the alarm brain, then i connected the car battery. I must say that the instructions included with this alarm are very vague and confusing. I dont know if im supposed to program the remotes or if the alarm should be working just by connecting everything up. As it stands nothing works, the alarm does nothing at all, the led doesnt flash and the alarm never goes off or disables start. At this point im hoping that i am supposed to do some programming before this will work as i am totally lost. If anyone can help with some pointers id greatly appreciate it. By the way im very experienced with car electronics as i repair cars for a living and im sure the wires i tapped into are the right ones. Just never got into alarms before, thanks for any and all help and sorry for the long post.

No the alarm did not trigger, My other problem is with the instructions being so vague, They have instructions to program the run times on the remote starter and the extra channel functions, but thats about it. I just a viper alarm that is to go into a different car and the instructions are so much better. I hope i can get this alarm going, Otherwise i spent 100 dollars for nothing.

The remotes are usually programed to the brain at the factory,I would check your ground wire and your power wires and the antenna.

to get the alarm to be function just hook the 12volt constant, ground, antenna and the siren and then test it out.
