When I press the arm or disarm button and the parking lights flash the dash lights also flash and the door chime goes off. Is this normal

I just installed an RS3.5 in an '02 Tahoe. I can hear the chime as well upon arm and disarm. Strange how I don't hear it on my '91 Integra.

Does your chime operate with the doors closed and lights on. If so its normal.
