hello out there in the install bay land...

this is my first alarm im wokring on, I'm getting coached from the road shop mananger here, but tonight im sitting at home and i'm wiring the brake switch, tach, and hood pin wire.. I have a question on two wires..

I have a 2003 Infiniti G35 Sedan, AUTO

my questions are.. Do i use these wires?

(-) Neutral Safety Switch Input
(-) 200 mA 2ND Status/Rear Defigger - Latched/Pulsed

What are those two for, and do i use either one? I'm looking at the tech sheet from my job and i dont see either.. Is the 2nd wire the trunk pin? (RED / White) ???

Thank you in advance for the help!

(-) Neutral Safety Switch Input : Only used if vehicle starts in any other gear except PARK or if you are installing this into a manual transmission vehicle.

(-) 200 mA 2ND Status/Rear Defigger - Latched/Pulsed : Use for triggering a relay for the rear defogger or to activate a module for bypass.

great! thank you for the quick reply :).. One more thing... So the wire going to the hood pin will get split and i also attach it to the trunk pin?

Yes you can do that as long as both are (-) trigger and you use a diode to isolate each trigger wires from each other and the alarm system.

awesome... alarm running with a few glitchs, wow i am so proud of my self, im 18.. never installed a alarm before... This was my first remote starter/alarm ive done and i had NO help from anyone, I wired everything and took apart the car by my self all with in 6 hours!!!! WOW.. and it all works im so happy.. Just a few minor errors likeeee the double pulse i dont get??? My locks are tricky, when i set the alarm to double pulse and i goto unlock the doors it unlocks fine than when i lock the doors, the doors lock and than unlock and on the remote it says its locked and armed.. but when i remote start the car and its set to double pulse and i unlock the doors that works fine and than when i lock the doors it also works fine... I dont understand, Oh yeah when i remote start the car and its on single pulse and i try to Unlock the doors, it dont unlock unless i press the unlock button a few times.. PLEASE HELP.. .and one more thing, i couldnt get the remote starter to work at first, than i tried to unlplug the harness i connectred the brake switch to and it worked!!!! thannn my other prob was... when i remote start the car, and i put the key in the ignition and i turn the ignition on than shut it off, the car is still started... the only way i can shut it down is with the remote by pressing the * button twice!!! helppp

As far as your door locks Locking, then Unlocking, that sounds like a safety feature that many cars have, does it do it will all of the doors closed and without the key in the ignition?

On the Remote Start problem, it won't shut off that way unless you connected a key sense wire of some sort. It should only shut down if the brake is depressed, if the hood is opened, or if you shut it off with the remote. You should be able to put the key in and turn it to ignition, then tap the brakes and it will stay running, then turn it off and it will turn off. This is so that you can start the car remotely, then get in turn the key on and drive off without restarting the car.

That is always a problem, you may have to disconnect the wiring from the module and get everything tucked up and then plug it back in. Have you found a good spot for the module?

Buy it, install it, play with it. Then take it back out, read the instructions, install it better!

since you know how alarm works and install, its now time to organize the wires, use as much split looms as possible to cover up the wires to make it look factory.

btw...i hate that biggo harness at teh rs relay pack, i cant split loom it.....crap!!!!!posted_image

the relays are killing me, and so is that remote sattalite remote starter thing! oh well This was my first alarm install, next time i will understand and locate a spot for the alarm before i start to run wires! anyway I am really happy with it, i just think i have to swap the 555u because its giving me proublems, some times the car starts and some times it dont, but it always starts when i leave the chiped key in the ignition! hummm ::sigh:: all done im so proud lol

check your antenna ring on the 555u it may be moving or shorting out this would cause the car not to start sometimes.

ill second to that idea that mobiletoys2002 mentioned, cause you need to get it to a good position on some cars.

I've tried everything, the white wire reads 14volts with my volt meter, and it goes from 14 to 0 back to 14, so i know its working, the fuse is okay, but i cannot find this wire anywhere Im sticking my + side of my volt meter into all the wires that this sheet says, and i cannot find the parking lights, I did find the RED / Blue wire in the drivers kick panel but when i test it, it reads 0 and when i put the white selectable lights +/- to it, it dont do anything..... i also tried to find the hazards lights and the reverse lights, still NO LUCK, the alarm works great this is my only prob tho, please help me.

did you test the RED / blue wire to make sure its the right for the park lights. Also in the kick pannel is the BCM and it should be pin 34 if i remeber correctly.

Do i need a relay? or should it just work if i tap this wire off it...

one more question, on my car if u press the unlock button on the factory remote the windows open, (if u hold the singal to the unlock wire it will also open the windows).. i just hooked up the programable channel 4 to the unlock wire and held in the channel 4 button and it didint open, Why didnt it open?

thank you once again.

The wire that controls the door locks also has the window wiring built into them so you must find the wire for the unlock and send a double pulse to that wire for the windows to rool down.

Use a pulse timer it is cheaper and easier than the 530 t in this vehicle.

Guys... this is my first alarm, i am going nutz trying to get this finished.... No matter what i do, i cannot find the parking lights wire, I found the color wire that everyone told me about, i put the white parking lights wire onto it and tested it, and my lights didint light up.. please i dont know whats going on, everyone is saying i dont need a relay and it should work...

one more important thing is the factory re-arm after remote starter, I took the wire and hooked it up to the drivers side door pin so that my 40 second conunter would start to shut off the factory head lights, and Yes it sends over the - singal (i tested with my volt meter).. but the singal dont last long at all and it drops the volts to like 4... when you open the door manualy the volts goto 2, Should i put a relay for a better ground?????? (ps the volts drop to 4 with the Re-Arm and instantly goes back up to 12v or 14 i forget.....)

thank u once again in advance
