I installed a Viper 791 on a Durango after someone tried to break into yesterday.  The drivers door lock was the only thing damage at the time.  Once I completed the install the dame car would not start with either one of the keys nor would the factory alarm work anymore.  I returned everything back to factory and still nothing.  Does anyone have any ideas!!!!!!!!  I'm lead to believe that the key tranponders have become deprogrammed some how

Well i would make sure you did not blow a fuse somewhere first because you say the factory remote dont work anymore. See if that helps then you may want to make sure the transponder ring is still connected at the back of the ignition maybe it was pulled out or losened when you did the starter. I dont see why the car would lose the code of the keys unless you tried to program a third key and messed up. But even still one key should still work .

What does the security light on the dash do when the key is in the ignition??

worse case you may have messed up the 'ctm' which is the main computer for all the circuits in the inside of the car. This would be the module that most of your connections went to(door locks ,door triggers, etc). good luck
