i am about to install a remote start. Is there anything i should look out for during the install. it has 3ing and it needs alot of resistors. does it need a transponder bypass? any help would be nice.

2001 RAM FULLSIZE
12 VOLT   -PINK/BLACK & RED / WHITE IGNITION HARNESS
IGNITION -BLUE 16 GAUGE
STARTER   -YELLOW
DOME      -BROWN(-) DRIVER PILLAR BY WINDSHIELD.
PARK LAMPS-BLACK / YELLOW(+) AT RELAY BOX UNDER HOOD.
POWER LOCK-WHITE/ DK GREEN    SINGLE WIRE
POWER UNLOCK
WHT/DK GREEN MUST SEE GROUND THRU 820 OHMS RESISTOR TO LOCK AND GROUND PULSE THRU 330 OHM RESISTOR TO UNLOCK.
TACH -TAN/RED AT IGNITION COIL
IGNITION 2-RED / WHITE 16 GAUGE
IGNITION 3-DARK GREEN
ACCESSORIES-BLACK/ WHITE
BRAKE LIGHT-WHITE/ TAN(+) ABOVE BRAKE PEDAL

IF IGNITION KEY IS GREY,VHICLE HAS TRANSPONDER(IMMOBILIZER)
IFBLACK KEY,NO IMMOBILIZER.

2001 & 2002 RAM 1500 SCHEMATICS ARE THE SAME.

a word of advice, if your remote start has a tach mode, and a tachless, use the tach mode. I just finished one in a 03 Ram 2500, and it wouldn't take the tachless mode at all. Other than that, it was a pain in the ass. (mostly due to the starter I was using, not the truck)
