I am going to be installing a viper 790vx into a 2003 eclipse I have been comapring and mapping out my connections. On the VEHILCE wiring guide it notes power door lock and unlock to be negative (-) however on the Viper wiring diagram it shows a 3 wire connector Blue, White, Green. It notes the Blue wire negative (-) unlock, positive (+) lock output, white as empty and Green same as Blue. I am a little stumbled here. If I need both a negative output to lock and unlock the vehilce door locks, how do I do that? Also for the horn honk output, On the Viper install manual for Primary Harness (H1) Wire Connection guide. It lists H1/10 BROWN as (-) Horn Honk Output, however on the quick refernce guide it shows the brown as (+) to siren output.  I can scan it and show you if you need. Thanks for any and all help.

comparing and mappin out the the number one key to a successful and a reliable install, so thats a good start.

there should be only green and blue wire. cross out where it says + on both wires and only follow the negative.

horn/siren honk or this brown wire (should be +) usually hook up to the red wire of the siren. if you want to hook up to ur car horn it requires a relay.

Okay so, if I use only the blue and green and it says - unlock, + lock..and the door locks on the car say - unlock, - lock, how can I use the wire if it is + lock..doesn't it have to be - to lock and unlock. What is double pulse also..is that what I need? - to the wires and by pressing it once it will lock, 2 unlock? Thanks for the help I  installed a remote start with the help of a friend about 5 years ago so I am a little lost by myself..

no....forget about the +lock and +unlock, get a pen and cross it out. just unplug it in according to the (-)

all you have to do for double unlock pulse is to program the thingy for double lock. its set for single pulse rightnow...........get it? look for the programming section toward the end of the book.

i would recommend readin the installation manual throughly, it shouldnt be a hard install at all w/ viper products. readin is the key........good luck!!!!
