Hey guys, had poor range with a 5 button polar start,so I change the remote battery and it's no better.I don't know the model # it came with the 2001 sebring.I can't find Polar start's Web site either.I thought relearning the transmitter might fix it but don't know how to do that.Anyone have any ideas?

Polarstart is another line from Autostart distributed be Automobility. The range can be affected by a number of things. Check the transmitter's battery voltage while pressing a button. It shouldn't drop below 12 volts. Sometimes replacement batteries are half dead. (Can you say Radio Shack). Also chech to see if the antenna is plugged into the remote starter's module and hasn't been pinched or cut by any recent work on the car. Check the vehicle's battery connections to see if they are clean and tight. Is the vehicle's battery in good shape? Try another remote if you got two for the system. Window tint can also seriously reduce your range. Check the remote starter's main ground to see if it is into a clean and paint free portion of the vehicle's chassis.

Move the antenna to another area to see if that improves the range. You should note that the antenna should be clear of any metal with a gap of 2-3" from the mounting point.

also.... keep the antenna away fromany factory tint... they are metalic based and will wipe your reception off the map.
