I found 2 different instructions on how to hook this up. The first one says to cut the yellow passlock wire and connect the yellow wire from the module to the yellow passlock wire, it doesn't say on which side. Then in the picture it shows the wire not cut and the yellow wire spliced into it. The online instructions say to connect the yellow module to the engine side passlock and a green wire to the key side. The picture for these instructions is true to the wording unlike the first ones. The problem is that they keep sending me harnesses without a green wire?? I called them once I got my first one and told them it was missing a wire they sent me a new one and its missing the wire too. Bulldog will not return my phone calls. So if anyone has any expeirence with the 791 universal learning module your advice would be appreciated

The yellow wire that you have goes towards the key switch so it can learn the code. If you have the key chip wire its easier to bypass with reading the restiance and using resitors. Or the easiest find a DEI dealer and ask to purchase a 555L

So the DEI 555L is compatible with a Bulldog 1200E Remote starter?

yes it is and i have never got the 791 bypass to work. Customers always bring in the those things cause they by them at walmart and wonder why ythey have to pay 2twice as much as the RS for it to get put it....
