Hi guys, I'm sorta new to car security systems, but not to electronics. I have been an avionics technician for a Major Airline on 747's and have a pretty good working install knowledge of electronics and wiring. Anyway, I bought a Toyota Tacoma that I would like to install an alarm on that will provide keyless entry (it has pdl but not keyless) as well as some alarm functions. I am FAR more concerned with quality than features. I searched around on here for a while looking for the answers to my questions but didnt really find what i was looking for, so I am asking for your help in choosing a system. Thanks so much guys!

For what it costs for the alarm, keyless, why not upgrade to the remote start with all your other required functions.

Well, remote start would be cool, but I have a manual transmission, which would make i tough. I suppose you could use the clutch start cancel switch somehow to make it work, but with my luck I'd start my truck in 1st gear and it would drive away lol.

compustar would be the way to go for a manual transmission. They are designed specifically with manual transmissions in mind and are an excellent quality piece.
