I'm looking for two things:
1) The identity of unit (make/model)
2) Any programming information (i.e. the manual)
As seems to be the usual, there are NO names anywhere on the unit or remotes. There is NO FCC ID to be found on or in the unit or remotes.
The harness for this unit looks like this (this is embossed on the back of the housing):
---
Pink: 2nd unlock
Blue: Unlock
Red: +12Vdc
Green: Lock
---
---
BLACK/ white: Domelight supervision (-) output
White: Parking lights +12Vdc output
Brown: Siren/horn (-) output
Pink: 3rd channel (-) output
Red: +12Vdc main power
Black: Ground
Yellow: Ignition switched +12Vdc
Gray: 2nd channel (-) output
Orange: Ground when armed 500ma
---
The circuitboard of the unit says "DTKEY VER 1.0.B COPYRIGHT 1997". The circuitboards of the remotes say "TX-DN3 VER D"
The remotes look like this:
With the exception of the image on the middle button - on mine is a "key" icon vs. a "open/closed locks" icon and mine have nothing printed where the image shows the online retailer's name.
What I am trying to do is hook up the trunk release output to an electric trunk release actuator. If I ground the relay coil, the trunk pops. If I hook the relay ground to 3rd channel, the trunk pops when I hold down the panic button and wait for the panic mode to start. However, hooking up the relay to the 2nd channel output results in nothing.
I hooked up a DMM to the 2nd channel output, and when I hold the trunk release down for a couple of seconds the doors unlock and there is a "flicker" on the 2nd channel output. It seems like this is a pulse that is not suitable for grounding the relay coil.
I'd like the 2nd channel output to behave as the 3rd does, and I'm hoping that a) it is programmable and b) I can get the programming information.
Thanks for reading!
P.S. Is it normal for the doors to unlock when trunk release is pressed? Is this behaviour also usually programmable?
Looks like a Command Start version CS270iC or the CS290i but the wiring information that you have is wrong according to my information.

I believe the part # of the system is RXS 613. The gray 2nd channel wire is the correct output to use. It should give a negative pulse strong enough to activate a relay. If it doesn't, TRUST ME, scrap the unit. These units gave me nothing but grief. They won't program as the manufacturer says. I don't even now who made them. I saw a lot of these units fail after a few years. They are no longer available. I would suggest that you look into replacing it with another keyless unit or upgrade to a alarm or remote starter both of which normally include keyless entry outputs.

Heh, you are not the first to make that recommendation!
I figure I'll try programming it if I can get the info first, then ditch it and replace it. (Am I cheap, masochistic, both?)
