Hi,
I have had the Hornet 1500ESP installed in my 92 Camaro for about 1 week now. Everything is working fine EXCEPT the siren. It just stopped working yesterday! I tested the brown wire from the brain and there is no charge from the wire when the lock or unlock button is pressed. I hooked the alarm + from the brown wire to a constant + and the alarm worked. I tryed putting the wire to the white park light flash wire but it doesn't work the same way... Is there anything I can do to fix this??? I also took the unit apart and do not see anything burnt or anything in the brain...... HELP ME PLEASE!!!

Thanks,
Brett

If you tested the brown wire I would look for a break in the wire somewhere it peobably was crimped and came loose.. If not then you may have a fried transistor in the alarm.

doe the siren works when you hold the panic button for 4 seconds?  Is the alarm light on steady? dd u use the siren that came with the alrm? if so your alarm is in valet  mode.

Is up to the installer to test all wires with a DMM whenever possible.

Just tested the alarm panic and it does work. the only thing that does not work is the chirp when u arm and disarm. I am using the one that came w/ it... I am going to check the light now...... I am testing the actual hole where the brown wire plugs into the brain and no + charge....

I can help u solve you problem. You said that the panic works right, but no chirs on lock or unlock. Does the light LED light for alarm flashes? are u using a mini siren or a big siren. You said is a hornet 1500esp, for the rord is either a hornet 553t or a python 1500esp, another reason why you don't hear chirps is because it wasn't programmed to chirp.
