Just finished my install on my compustar alarm.  When i go to remote start it, nothing happens.  The car looks like it going to start, but it seems it won't crank, my lights on my dash light up and then nothing.. Could it be im on the wrong wires.. Im hooked up to the black with white coming from the sterring column...Any suggestions would be great.

could be a few different things...
-did you program the tach yet?
-is your hood pin wire showing a ground reading?
-if this is a manual transmission, have you set the reservation mode?
-you may have connect your starter kill relay wires in the opposite direction.

good luck

I recently did an alarm/remote start on a 97 Accord.

Same thing was happening. Turned out that I was tapped into the wrong side of the starter kill relay.

alright its going to be a little cramped but you could do this(be easier if you have 'T' wire taps).

6 female quick disconnects.

2 Wire T Taps

1 standard  Bosch box relay

some 18 gauge wire

scoot your driver seat all the way back and lay down with your head looking up at your clutch pedal. all the way at the top you should see a white nub with two wires coming out of it. this is the clutch switch. this is where the T Taps come in handy. tap both of the wires and and then using the quick-disconnects and 18 gauge wire extend to whatever lenth you need.  take the relay and connect the two wires to

87 and 30 doesnt matter which one or which order you go in b/c once the relay is activated the relay will just connect these wire

85- ground when running output of remote start(usually light blue in DEI products)

86 - fused 12volts.

so when the remote start is activated the relays is closed and pins 87 and 30 are connected simulating someone pushing the clutch down.
