I am trying to wire up a clifford concept 450 and the installation seems a bit complex. There are so many different types of central locking systems and i am not sure which my car has and were to connect the central locking outputs of the alarm via a relay etc
I also have total closure on my car, when you hold the key down and continue to hold the key down while the sunroof and windows close, if it possible can this be wired through the accesory output direct or does it need some kind of relay
also as this car does not have door pin switches where do i connect the door trigger and trunk trigger wires
PLEASE HELP ME, any help would be appretiated
Many Thanks
Lock and unlock use a (-) trigger. Unlock requires a double pulse. The first pulse disarms and unlocks the drivers door, and the second pulse unlocks all the doors. There is a wire you can cut and install a relay that will open that circuit and allow you to remote start instead of using the disarm wire which unlocks the drivers door and hence would require you to lock it again after the engine has started.
There are 2 different alarms offered, and the module is located to the left of the steering column. One has 2 connectors and the other has 3. The wire colors will differ on the 2 different types.
2 connector alarm:
Lock: Yellow/Blue in the door
Unlock: Dk.GREEN/ Red or YELLOW /GREEN in the door
Disarm: with Unlock
Arm: with Lock
Dome Trigger: Blue/Gray in drivers Kick
3 connector alarm: All wires found in Drivers Kick
Lock: RED / Blue
Unlock: RED / Lt.Green
Disarm: YELLOW /GREEN
Arm: Yellow/Blue
Dome trigger: BROWN / White (-)
I think trunk uses the same wire as doors to trigger alarm.
As far as total closure goes, you should throw a DMM on your lock wire and then hold the key down (whatever that means) and see what happens to the wire. If it reads a constant (-) pulse for as long as you hold the key, then you could test to see if a constant ground pulse to that wire will do the same. It may work. but then again there may be a different wire that does this. If holding the key down means turning the key and holding in the locked position, then you will likely be able to accomplish total closure one way or another. You may have to test the wires at the key cylinder. If you mean pressing and holding the lock button on the facotry keyless entry, then you may have a more difficult time doing this.

i have put a DMM thorugh on the lock wire, by holding the key down and means turning the key and holding in the locked position, but this wire has no signal while total closure is being activated after the double pulse lock for locking
this car does not have keyless entry, so could u please help me on how to connect this through the accesory output, my alarm.
thank you
