Hi there

Im lookin to connect my horn to my alarm/pin switches

I would like the horn to blast (in a BEEP....BEEP.....BEEP type way) when the alarm is armed, and the doors are opened...triggering the pin switch to form the circuit.

I have a ground when armed on my alarm so i assume i can convert this to give a positive feed?? and then what else would i need to acheive this??

thanx for help in advance!!!

What car and what alarm?

Are you just trying to add your horn to accompany the siren, or what is going on here. if you have a siren output, you can use that output and get a flasher to create the BEEP, BEEP, instead of the BEEEEEEEEEEEEP.

More information would make it easier for us to come up with solutions.

its an unknown alarm, and a Nissan Micra, dont think you get that car?? im in UK!!

I just want the horn to activate (in BEEP BEEP BEEP) if the alarm is activated...(by converting the ground when armed to a positive) and one of the doors is openned - (the horn only needs to be beeping for as long as a door is openned)

My door pins are negative triggers, and will convert my ground when armed to a positive to make the circuit work...just need to know what i will need regards to flashers and relays....hope this is understandable. I dont want my horn connected to the alarm properly, only if the alarm is armed and a door is openned, therefore only blasting the horn whilst pin switches are making the circuit.

sorry and thanx!

Read through the relays section on this website. Relays are very easy once you know how they work.

many alarms have an additional output for a horn honk output that would much easier to use than what you are describing. and it would go off when someone opened the door while the alarm is armed. with you setup, how would you turn it off? close the door?
