my question is regarding a lynx2000r in a 99' Honda Civic Si. Everything works fine with the unit except the remote start. When I try to remote start it comes back with an error that says OFER which in the user manual says stop starting failed. Everything is hooked up properly and I changed out the brain because I have another and the same thing. I also tried it in automatic mode and the same thing happens. It doesn't even seem to turn the ignition on or anything. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I didn't hook up the tach. I'm using voltage sensing. But it doesn't even seem to click on the accessories or anything. I checked that the hood pin wasn't grounded. And that the brake circuit is fine, with all bulbs working because I know if a bulb is burned sometimes it confuses the brain. Thanks for posting.

Use the BLUE tach wire found at the test connector on the drivers side fire wall under hood in a 2 pin plug. Set the alarm to learn ( Pin 2 to ON ) and make sure that you let the car idle until it reaches it's lowest RPM. After you learned the tach to the CPU make sure that you flip the pin switch back to operate and try it out.

I hooked it up with tach sensing and it worked perfectly. I should have used this method in the first place to avoid overcranking the engine when the temperature comes up. Thanks for all you help.
