Ok, recently I bought a 1991 white crx and have been fixing it up. I attempted to install door actuators and viper 210hv keyless entry/car alarm. The actuators were easy to do to change my powerless locks to autos. I had a few problems installing the viper, basically because i forgot to get a few relays. and that brings me to my questions:

1 Where is the starter wire(Ignition Harn. F/b plug?)??

2. What king of relay do I need to convert a (-)200mA output to work with my (+) parking lights wire?

3 Will i need a relay for the (-)200mA horn output to my horn trigger(It says this wire is a high current ground)??

4 What kind of relays do i need to activate my 12v actuators from a low current output?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks:D

I have the same 91 white CRX Si.

1. your starter wire will be BLACK/ White.

2. is your (-)output made for flashing park lights?
beacuse if it isn't your parklights will just turn on
constant when you arm ur car.
if it is...any SPDT relay should work.

30: +12volts
87: to +parking lights
86: +12volts
85: (-)200ma output
*correct me if I'm wrong guys*

3. yes you will need a relay for that too.

30: Ground
87: to Horn
86: +12volts
85: (-)200ma output
*again correct me if I'm wrong guys*

4. I would suggest using a DEI 451M. Its made for aftermaket actuators, 5 wire system etc.

Hope this helps.

this is for your parking lights:

Convert a Negative Output to a Positive Output
If you have a switch or an alarm or keyless entry that has a negative output that you wish to use to switch a device that requires 12V+ such as a horn, dome light, parking lights, head lights, hatch release, etc., wire a relay as shown below to convert the negative output (trigger) to a positive output.

here is the door lock info:
Actuators / Reverse Polarity
This is practically identical to the 5 wire alternating 12V(+) system above. The only difference is there's no switch! Both motor legs rest at ground at the relays. To lock or unlock the vehicle, polarity is changed on one motor leg.

Thank for the quick replies guys

one more question though..Does the horn require a negative charge?? Ex.:

|     HORN TRIGGER    |    blue/red   *4   |       (-)    |steering column|

*4 High-current ground. Use a relay when interfacing with this circuit.

This diagram says the wire is of negative polarity. Im just a little confused  but the rest of the info is great.

will it require a relay to change it to

Yes you will still need a relay for your horn trigger becase the (-)200ma signal from your alarm won't be enough. Eventhough they are both negative! just follow the diagram I gave you for the horn.

hope this helps

Thanx guys for the help. Everything works great. Relays were only $2 apiece.
