I have the APS 996, and had it professionally installed. Here are the two problems I'm haivng with it. When the system is armed, sometimes the LCD will flash the "shock sensor (hammer)" icon, eventhough the alarm has not gone off. If I press the arm button a second time, it will chirp and the icon will stop flashing. Secondly, when I set off the alarm, the LCD only receives the page randomly...not every time. My GF was in the grocery store, approx 200 yards from the vehicle, and I set it off 4 different times using the shock sensor. The pager only received the page 1 out of 4 times. Does this sound like a faulty remote. I called audiovox tech support, before I found out about the paging problem, and they told me the LCD flashing the shock sensor icon could be a faulty remote. Please help! I just bought the alarm!

I would send back the pager,I have found them not to be very reliable! They are very fragile,If you drop it don't count on it working properly!
