After a minor impact on the right side of the vehicle, the automatic door lock/warning system on the right sliding passenger door of my 98 Grand Caravan became intermittant. Apparently randomly during driving the locks will cycle and interior lights flash with audible signal. Door seems to slide and seat properly. All steps have been taken assure the spring-loaded contacts on the door edge properly contact the plates on the jamb, including replacing both sides of the contact system. It was believed this was the problem, as slamming or holding the door would seem to provide temporary relief. Now, I think the problem is a loose connection somewhere else in the system. Can anyone provide a diagnostic protocol or othewise help with this? Thank you. Wedwin99

You may need to run a new wire from the impact side to the RKE and the dome light module. Your insurance company should pay for this as it is still a result of the accident.
