I'm installing a Viper 850xv in my 1991 VW GTI. It uses negative door switches. My question is this, do I splice into the same wire for the domelight supervision as I do for the alarm input from the doors? If so does it need to be diode isolated at all? My concern is if the alarm sends a ground signal to the domelight to turn it on after being disarmed will it do any kind of backfeeding to the switches when I open the doors, or is that not a concern because it is a ground signal? Or does the alarm automatically shut down the domelight supervision as soon as the door switch is triggered and the domelight then gets its signal from the switch. Thanks

Tie it right into the door trigger.  You'll be fine.

So tie both the domelight supervision and the door trigger input to the same wire? Any diodes or relays required?
