A friend of mine gave me this alarm. He did not have the remote for it. I contacted a Carbine dealer over the internet about it but the dealer couldn't help me any b/c he was insisting it was either a Carbine PLUS 4000 C or a 4000 S. The alarm just says "PLUS 4000" and thats it. I have no paperwork on it so I don't know what it is and is not capable of doing.

I need to get a remote but I don't know what to look for. I bought one off of ebay for about $6. It was a small rectangle remote with two buttons, a bigger grey one and a small bright green one. When I connected the 12v and ground up (two wires I could obviousl figure out) the siren relays in the alarm are clicking naturally, but the remote doesn't disarm it. Probably wrong type? or needs programing?
