ok so i have a crimestopper CS-2015FM installed in a 1996 civic hatchback. the problem im having is when i try to remote start it cranks but wont turn over, but when the car is running and i hit remote start, remove the key the car stays running and shuts down after 12min, like it supposed to. i think i have everything connected the way its supposed to, i took the wire color from this web site and folllowed the install manual but still nothing, just cranking no starting.

thanks for the help

Look and see if there is any type of anti theft on that car. You may have to bypass the security system. Also double check your connections on that remote start...Hope this helps.

On a 96 Civic? No.....

Probably hooked up ignition and accessory wires wrong, or its a tach related issue.

JWorm is closest to the correct answer.....
it's highly likely that you may have reversed ignition and ACCESSORY /HEATER wires. try this....can you hot wire your car to turn on using just the ignition and starter wires that you've chosen? if not, then you've got the wrong wires. all you should need to use are BLACK / YELLOW and BLACK/ white from the ignition harnesses.

good luck
