Hello All,

If anyone can help me, I greatly appreciate it.  My remote start for a Viper 550 ESP will start and then immediately turn off.  Install on a 1998 Toyota 4-runner.  Please help!

It sounds like your 4runner has a factory immobilizer.  You will need a bypass unit to overcome this when remote starting.

In the case that you do have an immbolizer unit and it's properly installed, make sure that the output of the alarm that the bypass unit is hooked to is programmed for special accessory and not for factory disarm.

Also make sure that your tach wire is connected properly and programmed properly.

The 1998 4Runner does not have an immobilizer in the cylinder but double check the tach wire connection & programming like SOUND PRESSURE suggested and also make sure that you do not have a burned out bulb in the brake light circuit.
