hey guys, ive been reading this fourm for a while and picked up a lot of great information.. today i installed a hornet 554t in my 92 civic, no remote start. everything works except the pager is acting strange. when i put in the battery it shows the speaker and unlock icons all the time.. even when i arm the car.. plus i get no feedback from the car to the pager.. all the buttons work along with their respective features though.. any ideas? any help would be appreciated.. thanks

If you purchased this from a dealer, they should be able to get you a replacement remote for free as part of warranty. The first thing I would try is to remove the fuse from the CPU and the battery from the remote control and try to reprogram the remote once again. If problem persists, then get a new remote through warranty.

Not sure with DEI remote's and CPU's. Some units loose any memory of the remote's after a certain amount of time while other's retain all remote's in their memory forever until you reprogram more remote's into it's memory. Nonetheless, I would still go back to the dealer and get them to take a look at the remote control and the way it's functioning.

Try re-programming the remote. Of all of the DEI alarms that I've done that were brand-new in the box, they all came programmed. Where'd you get the alarm? Maybe they had to "borrow" the remote for another customer, and threw in a replacement when they got another remote in stock.

try unplugging the brain, the antenna(make sure it is not torn or ripped) and take out the battery to the remote.

plug the brain and antenna back in, put the battery back in the remote AND within the "little musical that plays", hit the lock button.

if this does not work, time for a new system.

       good luck and have fun!!!!
