Does anyone have a picture of their hood pin switch install?

Just curious where the best place is to put it...it terms of:

 - in the front or rear of engine bay

- best place to avoid water and moisture buildup

- so the hood hits it nicely, or do you have to customize it so it hits the pin

 Thanks

Based on advice I received in this forum I purchased a mercury switch from https://store.autotoys.com , mounted it to the hood itself and don't have to worry about water getting into a pin switch.

ok, so if I don't want a mercury switch, does someone have ideas on my first post?

Depends on the vehicle. All vehicles have a " sweet spot " that will depress the hood pin switch properly. If nothing else you will need to install an " L " bracket to support a location that the hood will touch the oin switch.

Cool, thanks.
Can I ask now how to hook the wire up to it?
Do I have to use a male connector at the end of the wire,
and plug it into the switch, or is there a different way?

Here's the switch:
