Hey, I just installed a remote start system in my 91 S-10 Blazer. Everything works, except one thing. I realized that my HVAC system doesn't turn on with the key in the ACC position. So when I remote start the car, the heat and air don't turn on. Am I correct in guessing that I just need to put the ACC+ from the RS unit to the ignition switch's "ON" wire, instead of the switch's ACC wire? Which wire would this be in the ignition swtich harness?
Thanks
You'll have a second wire in the ignition harness that will show 12V+ when the key is in the run position that you'll need to supply 12V+ to from the remote start fro your heater/AC to work. Typically remote start units have an ignition 2 output designated for this particular function. If yours does not have an additional output, connect the accessory output lead of the remote start to two relays as follows...
12V+ Accessory Output from remote start to #85 of both relays. Connect #30 of both relays to a fused constant 12V+ source. Connect terminal #86 of both relays to ground. Connect terminal #87of one relay to your vehicle's acccessory wire and connect terminal #87 of the other relay to your heater/AC wire.

Nevermind, I figured it out. I had the external relay wired as a second starter, instead of a second ignition. Now it works fine. Thanks for the reply.
So do you have the remote starter going to the first accessory wire, the second, or both?
Just curious because my taurus has 2 wires. I connected to one of them, and the A/C doesn't come on....so I'm wondering if I have to use the other.
