About 2-3 months ago I installed the Autoloc shaved handle kit / ST8000 Alarm...well recently I had some trouble with my car and getting frustrated with it I went ahead and removed everything electrical from the car that had been installed. Now the car is running and i'm going back and installing everything again.
Anyways...I was at least trying to just get my driver side solenoid/relay working so I wasn't stuck getting in the car manually. Well with it wired up the same way it originally was, it now constantly blows the fuse after I pop the door. The solenoid plunges down and releases the latch with no problem but once it lets up the blows the fuse. I've pulled and checked all the wires to make sure they were ok and connections were good, I've changed the ground for the module and even ran a ground for the solenoid itself inside the car. I've switched the wires on the relay because one of the instructions has it wired wrong and it still blows the fuse. I even changed the relay but it still won't work right.
Does it sound like my solenoid is shot? I'm in the process of hooking up the other one to see if it works right. But I also plan on opening the solenoid to see how it looks since when it was first installed we messed up the wiring and some how it was receiveing power constantly and with my luck fried the SOB.
If anyone could please help me out it would be great. Sorry for the long post but I wanted to make sure i explained it good enough I guess.

Can you please give us the relay configuration that you used ? Also, I'm assuming that you are using a SPDT relay as well , right ?

Try a diferent source for the +12 constant going to the relay.
What size fuse ?
Yes it is a SPDT relay. Pins 86 & 30 are 12v, Pin 85 is from the module, and Pin 87 goes to the solenoid. Other than the wire from the module all other wires are 10G. My 12v source is the fuse box under the hood with a 30 Amp fuse.
Another set of directions from Autoloc/Stellar website have the relay wired up with Pins 86 and 85 swapped but everytime I did it that way it blew the fuse.
After getting back out there I wired up the passenger side soleoid in place of the other and so far so good.
I'm running a 35 pound pull shave kit from aim industries on my
95 honda civic, and the relay set up is as follows:
30=12v (+), 85=12v (+), 86=gnd (-), 87=to solenoid. The 85 pin has the
inside release switch spliced in line from 12v source. The #2 wire (out to solenoid) from the harness is
tapped between the switch and the relay. hope this helps.
