I am trying to install a keyless entry system on my 1992 GMC Pick up.  I understand the instructions on what wires to cut and splice.  I have pulled the plate off the door locks so I know what color the wires are.  The problem I am having is where do the wires come out?  I see them in door panel, but I cannot see where they are after they leave that.  I found a big wiring harness under the dash, took some of the tape off of it and examined the wires but cannot find the door lock wires.  I have seen other posts with different vehicles that say look under the glove box, would GMC have them under the glove box?

Any help would be appreciated.

If you remove the left front dash speaker the harness is located under it between the fabric/rubber sound insulation and the firewall. The harness comes in from the door and runs along the top front of the dashboard. The speaker grill has two fragile clips on the underside front edge. Gently pry the front edge of the grill upwards enough to see the clips. Push them towards the window slightly to release them. The wires you need are usually light blue and black in the harness. Test first to find the right ones.
