Looking to know if any one knows the wire color for the auto head light shut down. After the remote start times out it will leave the headlights on. This has a viper 550XHF in it so I can't pulse the door triger after shut down. Any Ideas? ------------- Visions Edmonton

you need to find the auto lite wire coming from the steering column, the wire will go to ground when you put the switch in the auto position, i cant remember off the top of my head what color it is. i know its pink/something. once you find the wire, use a relay to interrupt that wire while the vehicle is remote started and your problem will be fixed.

Pulsing the driver's door pin ( with rearm - , after remote shut down) will turn the lights off.

Hey whitey,
I'm pretty sure the 550XHF has a blue wire which is normally a status but can be programmed for re-arm.

yes it does but it will triger the alarm on the 550. You half to go to the switch and open up the GREEN/ orange wire with a status out put from the remote start. The head light will come on during remot start and go out after the run time. ------------- Visions Edmonton

i love the technology that toyota created, but its an extra work for the installers. first of all, if you interrupt the door pin the alarm will do off. you ought to search for this subject, i know someone asked this already. if not, jrilla know exactly how to bypass this autolight, so PM him.
