depends on the siren output. you may need a relay

the siren output is a positive output that can only handle 1amp of current.

The manual says that the output can be programed to constant or pulsed if a horn instead of a siren is desired.

So I'm stuck with eitheror.

Well, you might be able to set the alarm to constant voltage (to sound the siren), then add a flasher to make a pulse output to drive your horn.

DEI makes a mini relay that you just tie in to your alarm and tap into your horn wire. They probably run about 3 or 4 dollars. I have a lot of those laying in my box.

cadillakin,

go to the left of this page, at the bottom you'll see "Et Cetera", click "Site Search".

when the page comes up, go to the middle," Search the 12volt's install bay-Mobile Electronics Forum".

from the drop down menu, select "Author", then type "mecpcert_1"(that's me.posted_image) then click "Search".

scroll down to the bottom and click on "Viper horn alarm integra hookup",  look at my post, it will have what you need.

the benefit to this is that the horn will only honk while the alarm is triggered. NOT on pre-warn or arm/disarm.

                          good luck and have fun!
