Im adding door lock actuators to my 95 mustang with manual locks. I bought the actuators but they come with no instructions at all. I have no clue as to how to install them, does anyone have any diagrams on how they are mounted to the door? As far as wiring should i wire the actuators to 2 relays such as is shown on the door lock section of this site? Or is there another way i can go about it? all help is greatly appreciated.

just find a goos spot where it wont interfere with other door components

I get what your saying, i looked at the parts and i see how they work. These are 2 wire actuators so i will wire them to 2 relays as shown on the door lock section on this site.

you can do it like on the site, or I like to go out and purchase a DEI 451M, which is two realys already set up for a 2 wire actuator. when you get it here is how to hook it up. take the purple and put it to 12volts, take the WHITE/ black and BROWN / black and ground those two wires, and then finally take the GREEN/ black and blue/black to the two wires on the actuator. cannot get simpler than that for about 20 bucks at any local retailer. hope this helps.

I just got the 451m in today, I noticed that on the plug that goes to the alarm there are 3 wires on it. ON the plug that came with the alarm there is only a green wire and a blue wire. The relay has a red wire that says +12 volt. Should i connect this wire to something? or does the alarm itself have a 12 output on that pin?

Just plug the white connector of the 451M into the alarm. The alarm will take care of that red wire. Greetings ------------- Clifford Alarms

this diagram only applies if the "trigger" wires from the alarm provide a pulsed ground (-) to lock/unlock. If they provide a pulsed positive (+) instead, you will have to ground the opposite 85/86 terminal to allow the relay to work. Actually, my alarm allowed me to use either pulsed (-) or (+), I just chose to use the (-).
