I have a Neon 1995. I just bought a keyless security system with remote start. Me and my friend hooked it up yesterday. Everything is working fine. But there is some problem somewhere, When I remote start the car, it starts up fine, but, the starter is activated again, as if the start signal is again sent to it, after like 30 second. Can someone advice on what I need to do.

Thanks,

do you have it on tach or tachless. IF it is tachless then you may need to hook up the tach cause the tachsense may not be seeing the car started and may be trying to start it again

Thanks, I got that working, there was a jumper in the system that sends the signal once or 5 times. so I put it on the onnce setting, There is one question.

When I remote start the car, the car starts and the light flash and everything is fine. But then, I dis arm it and open the door and plug  the key in the switch and turn it to the "on" position, the lights still flash indicating that it is still in the remote start mode and I have to press the start button again to kill the remote start mode. Then the lights stop flashing and the engine remains running and everything is fine. The thing I wanted to ask here is that is it normal that the remote start has to be manually disabled, or should this happen automatically when the key is in the "on" position????

Thanks in advance....

did you wire up the brake wire shutdown and are you stepping on the brake after you put the key to run?

You must press the brake to shut down. I am hoping that you hooked up the wire for the brake so that when you step on the brake pedal you kill the remote start.
