 Hi,

I have seen that a lot of Toyota will required to unlock the doors,  a conection from the unlock wire of  the alarm to the child safety lock wire in the car.  Any logical explanation to this?

 Thanks,

The system is designed so that if engaged by the driver when leaving the vehicle the interior door lock/unlock switches will no longer work. The parent can leave the car locked with kids inside with out them easily unlocking the doors and getting out. They would have to move the door lock lever or plunger to unlock the door. The system engages with either locking the door from the outside key cylinder or double pulsing the door lock switch with the door open.
