i pulled up the dei techsoft for an 02 explorer, and next to the sunroof-open/close, it says "not recommended". has anyone in here hooked up the sunroof on a newer explorer to a window module to control the sunroof? just curious why dei says not to do it on this truck.

Generally it means, if you hook it up it will damage the sunroof itself. We did one that said not recommended on a salesman's vehicle. The sunroof opened fine, but when it came time to close it just kept pulling down toward the roof, but not closing.

I have just taken one out of a 03. I put in a mod for the sunroof and it opened fine but as far as closing it would get half way and stop and then open back up again. there has to be a pulse or somehting that interupts the window mod. Its for the dealer and its the owners of the dealerships car. Im gonna find out whats going on ill post what i find out.
