Most proximity sensors are eliptical so somewhere  near the center of the vehicle is the best.

Thanks a lot  Jeff for the advice .

My question is if the doors are  obstacle for the RF sensor?

The biggest problem with the door is that you do not get the perimeter to go outside of both doors.... that means playing around with the adjustment and try to get a friend to help you out as you adjust the perimter sensor and you arm the system while inside the car... do not make a move and get your friend to move around the car to set off the sensor.
