Was wondering what's the difference between the Viper 790XV and 791XV? I currently have a Hornet 553T and thinking about upgrading to the two way transmitter and was wondering what's the difference between the two models stated earlier? Thanks!

the two are very similiar, one is a 2002 model and the other is a 2003 model. the 791 has many improvements over the 790. a lot of people are complaining that the 790 has many bugs; which are fixed in the 791. i don't know about the others, but i like the silver remote on the 790. the blue remote on the 791 looks too much like a toy for me. i would go with the 791 because it's better and not because of the remote.

go with the 791 it uses the new micro relay satelite and like wblakes said some of the little bugs in the 790 were cured in the 791, also 791 has some new features the 790 doesnt. I kinda like the new remotes, they look a little smoother, i found the old remote too square and chunky

the bank with all the relays-crank, ign, etc is about half the size on the 791 and it's self contained as opposed to the old style relay satellite that was a bugger to bury under the dash, especially once you added an extra relay for anti-grind.... go with the new model
