Have a 98 Blazer that has a remote starter & DEI bypass in it The problem is it will not stay running even when starting with the key .it will start run for 10 to 30 sec. Than shut down This acts like the security bypass is wrong so i checked the resistance from the key & tryed this across the eng. side of the yellow wire & the orange black after disconecting the DEI unit Nothing changed Anyone ever seen this before ?????

If you disconnected the DEI unit you still have to reconnect the YELLOW wire that was cut in order for the bypass unit to work. If you had the 555L module in there, what you have to do is reconnect the YELLOW and BLACK / YELLOW wires coming off the module together.

Have you tried to leave the key turned on for 10 mins? that usually resets the system. If that doesn't work then you might have to have it towed to the dealership and have them reset it with their portable OBDII tester.

If the passlock was interrupting the fuel then it would usually happen 1-3 seconds after starting the car and then the SECURITY light will flash on the dash.

take the bule black wire on the 555L to ground and try to remote start.  that will activate it as long as the red and pink wire get the rigt signals too
