Does anyone know of an easy way to extend the negative pulse of an ouput channel to, lets say 10 seconds or so? besides buying a versatimer or extra module. can this be done with caps or anything?

That should do it. I am not sure what R and C values you would use for 10 seconds - I have been looking for that information myself.
