Hi I am doing an alarm on a 97 Chevy Cavalier. I have a negative trigger output wire from the alarm brain. I hooked it up to the wire at the trunk light and it doesnt trigger when opened? I tried both wires at light. And the light does work. When I hit the arm button the alarm beeps twice to let me know theres something wrong with this trigger but I dont know what?
Do I need to convert polarity on the negative output wire into a positive? Please help? Thank You!

i just use the positive at the light and yes you have to convert it...unless you just want to use the + door trigger on your unit, but if you have an LCD unit and want it to show you if the trunk is opened then you have to convert it.
