I have installed my remote start. I have an IPPME Bypass hooked up that i had connected from the previous unit. When I start the car from the remote the theft light stays on and some of the idiot lights blink on and off along with the feul gauge and temp gauge resetting. When I start the car with the Key the theft light shuts down. Any Ideas? I am at a loss. Thanks

Brian

Second ignition hooked up, does the car operate normally with the key?  If so there might be a problem with the bypass.

the lights staying on is usually a result from not powering an ignition wire as a certian type meaning acc or ignition

the followiing wires were needed.

red constant.
yellow - starter
pink - igintion 1
white -ignition two
orange- acc one
brown -- acc two not needed for r/s

there wire have to be powered for remote start excluding the brown wire and the difference between acc and ignition is that acc does not hold 12 volts duging crank the power drops. if you did not know that already.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.

Yes, I have these wires connected to the remote start and the IPPME bypass. The strange thing about this whole thing is I can remove the bypass completely from the system and the remote still works, It makes no differance if it is connected or not.
