Sorry to bother everyone again. I just want to make sure of one thing. I feel more comfortable using DEI products since i'm using a Clifford Matrix rs3 alarm. I purchased the Omega door lock interface for my Tahoe. Now like in my other post it solved the disarm wire problem. The only thing is that the interface only locks the doors i don't think it arms the factory alarm. Is it supposed to do that. Now i realize that the Clifford is supposed to take care of everything that the factory alarm did and more but its just a question i have. Also do you think there is a big difference between the Omega interface and the 456G. -Thanks guys.

I am not sure if it arms the factory security either, but I would rather have the Viper than factory alarm. The only type of protection the factory alarm offers is just door protection, no shock, proximety, glass, etc. I think you should be safe without arming the factory also. But if you really want to, since you have the factory disarm taken care of, just lock the door with the inside switch before you get out of the car, close the door, and then lock again with your viper remote. This will arm your factory.

most if not all of the interfaces are pretty much the same...a lot of cars will arm the factory system when the doors are locked. the only reason that you would disarm the factory alarm is so that you they conflict with each other. as stated above, you will have more features with an aftermarket alarm. i dont think you will have anything to worry about. just use the parts that you have. an alarm is only as good as the install its self........
good luck. ------------- Good Luck
