I have looked at different diagrams for my 03 dodge by searching related topics....and they all seem to be different....im installing a remote starter (crimestopper 2011 RS) and so far i have seen about 3 different versions of the ignition wires....i need some relay help on how to wire....not to good with relays...i havent found anything for ignition wires in the RELAY section either!..i think the dodge quad cab is different wiring then the single cab....

heres what i have to wire...

Ign#1- blue wire, ign#2- red or RED / white wire, ign#3- dark green, ign#4- orange....how do i wire all of these wires if i only have 2 ignition out puts??....tie 2 wires together into 2 relays?? BTW...on the alarm system there is a pink wire for ignition #1 and a pink/white for ign #2....im guessin that i have to use only the pink/white wire to wire ignitions #2-4 ?? ANY HELP APPRECIATED!!

the most sure way is to get a DMM and test yourself, cannot go wrong there.

I like working on these trucks. Pretty easy to work on, once you know what you are doing.

There are 2 ignitions and 2 accessories that need to be powered up.
Ignition 1 - blue
Ignition 2 - red or RED / white. There are a bunch of red wires, and I think 1, possibly 2 RED / white wires. You need to find the one that tests as an ignition. It will show power when the key is in the run and crank positions only. Some of the red and RED / white wires will be constant wires, don't confuse this wire with those

Acc 1 - green
Acc 2 - orange

When the 2002 Ram (same wiring) came out, some wiring charts were showing to hook up 4 accessory wires. BLACK/ white and another color I forget. After a while, people realized that two of those weren't needed for the truck to run properly because they were for the radio, wipers and others things you don't need on when warming up the truck.

You will need to add a relay for the 2nd acc. wire. Wire it as follows:
86 - to accessory 1
85 - "ground when running" output from remote start. Also called "3rd ignition trigger" on some systems
87 - fused constant +12v
30 - to 2nd accessory wire.
There are many ways to wire the above relay, but this way works just fine.

The fact that your truck won't crank probably doesn't have to do with you missing an ignition or accessory wire. Does your truck have a grey key or black key? If its grey, you have an engine immobilizer. Put the key in the key cylinder in the off position and try to remote start it and see what happens. Try doing a search for "555C" or "Sentry key"

thanks for the replies....i have tested the red wire and the RED / white wire that im using..and they both have power only when key is in "on" position and started..only problem is ....when i use the RED wire by itself the dash will NOT power up, but if i leave the key in the on position it will start...and when i hook up the RED / white wire it will power up the dash...but not start....so how can i not use both of them...are they the wrong wires...BTW MY KEY IS BLACK AND I DO NOT HAVE FACTORY KEYLESS

you also have to power up your acc wire, it is balck/orange, that wire powers your dash, radio, and also I believe the wipers.

FINALLY I GOT MY TRUCK TO START!!!! ONLY PROBLEMS IS I CANT SEEM TO FIND THE GREEN& ORANGE ACC. WIRE...THE GREEN & ORANGE I FOUND ARE NOT POWERED WHEN THE IGN IS TURNED TO THE ON AN OFF...ARE THESE WIRES BIG OR SMALL??....ALSO IM THROWING CODES ON MY DASH WHEN IT IS REMOTELY STARTED....COULD THIS BE FROM NOT HAVING THE SECOND ACC WIRE HOOKED UP??

Okay ...after reading many post on dodges i have read that the ign# 2 and #3 wires have to be hooked up along with the acc#1&2 (green & orange) well there are many diagrams with different ign wires and acc wires...mainly the 2nd igns and accs. i have tested THE ONLY orange wire that is running down my steering column to the ignition harness and it does NOT test positive wheter ign is on or off or cranked!!...the BLACK/ white wire is for the radio, although when i power it...the radio does not come on!, some diagrams say that the 3rd and 4th ignition are the green and orange..!?!?!....now i know there is someone with an 2003 dodge ram 1500 SLT 4.7L V8 with the correct wiring diagram for acc. and igntion.....MY MAIN PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN STARTED REMOTELY THE AIR BAD, ABS AND BRAKE LIGHT COME ON! well the orange wire is supposedly for that but it didnt help...any body running into this problem!?...BTW i have read 10 pages of past post on dodge rams and no one has had my problem with the green and orange not having power AT ALL!       any help would be appreciated, im ready to get this thing working right!
