Could not locate a door trigger to this car, so went to each door and diode isolated them, negative signal, the cathode facing the door pin, the custome just call and said the alarm is arming even with the doors open. Can I just hook up to other wire I dont see a dome light wire or any light underneath the dash. The dome light has a few seconds delay is this a problem?

 Thanks.

Door Trigger      White (-)        Courtesy Light under Dash

Maybe the wiring chart is wrong then?

whit(-) at curtesy light under dash, or if curtesy light not available, then white in the drivers door pillar.

cavaliers dont have courtesy lights.  is it two or four door?  if its two then:  The GREEN/ black is located in the lower drivers kick panel. It catches the drivers door only. The light blue is located in the lower passenger kick panel, and catches the passenger door (both are neg. triggers).  grab both and connect to the striped side of the diode.  then to the neg. trigger input on the alarm.

ALSO, most car alarms WILL arm with the doors open.  they will just bypass that zone.  so first, make sure they know that... then double check to see if it triggers when the doors are opened while armed.
