Hey all, I have a 98 jeep grand cherokee. I am installing a microwave motion detector on a crimeguard 745i and it recommends placement in the center console. The only bad thing is there really is no good place for it there. I was thinking of mounting it on the upper temp/compass console on the roof. Would this affect performance pointing downward instead of up? I was going to try it but I have to extend the wiring in order to run it up the windshield pillars and to the overhead console. Thanks in advance!!

You can install it in the center all you have to do is take out the center console. Just remove the 2 screws in the front of the console and then the 4 in the compartment. I placed mine by the ebrake  cable and it works great
