I own a civic myself, and I put a immobilizer in it myself, however I put in the 555U... works MUCH better! only takes about 15 minutes to put it in. if you can, I would swap those parts out. You'll thank me. The only down side, is that you will need a spare key in order for it to work. but that's nothing really.... I've got pictures of how to hook that up if you need them. if you want them, email me.

as far as the immobilizer, I have an 04 civic, and it was a sinch. however I used the 555U. MUCH easier to install. takes about 15 minutes to put it all in. The only downside is that you need an extra key in order for that part to work correctly. The immobilizer is otherwise really tricky to put in if you don't have a Universal bypass. I have pics of you need em.

-my sis own a 02 civic and 555i works out flawlessly. i would reccomend using 555i rather than 555u. i would really hate to give up a key. 555i is pretty dumbmie proof. its just as easy as 555u, just a lil more wires....thats it. just follow the instruciton.
-the tach wire is behind the battery under the intake boot. this one wire, lil test connector(tach) is taped to a split loom.

word, thanx for the info on where to find the tach wire. greatly appreciated. and also the immobilzer bypass kit, i bought a dei 555i already, so i dun think i'll be swapping or trading it in. and i also don't really like the idea of having to leave one key in the car cause those keys are pretty expensive. but any wiring details would be appreciated. thanx for all the help so far.
