I want to insert diodes to the wires going to my external sirens so if a thief tries to ground out my siren wires to short out my alarm it won't work. How would I go about inserting these. Would I just split, let's say; the positive trigger wire going to my siren and insert it between the split or is there someway else. Are there any diagrams I could follow?

Hi hot_shot_guy, I'd use a relay instead of diodes. Have the alarm's siren output activate the coil of a relay and fuse the power source. When the thief cuts the siren lead, it will only blow the fuse on the siren's power source and not the alarm.

Connect (+) siren output to #85, connect ground to #86, connect 12V+ fused to #87, and connect #30 to siren's positive lead.

I do have a relay and it's hooked up to 5 sirens on my car. I don't know if this would do anything but could I put a fuse on each sirens positive trigger. If the relay fuse blows then no sirens would work, so I figure that if I fuse the trigger wires then only the fuse will blow on one siren that they mess with and not all. What size fuse should I use?

Hi hot_shot_guy, that should work. Try a 5 amp fuse on each siren and a 25 amp fuse on the main power lead.
