I've seen several cars with a yellow cloth on thier steering wheel. What kind of a protection does that provide? Does the cloth explode some kind of gas or something when a thief tries to remove it? Just wondering what kind of protection it gives. Also where can I buy one of those and what is it called?

Thanks.

It could simply be a warning devices, such as what is included with this antitheft device.

Yes, that is what it looks like. Thanks for clearing my doubts.

I like the idea of it exploding poison gas on a thief better.

senster, you just made me laugh, even though I had a tough Monday. That is what I originally thought, but I was wrong. It always used to scare me to look at those steering wheels with those yellow clothes on them wondering "what kind of a "spy" device is that?"
