i have a clifford matrix rsx3.5 and i bought a dual zone sensor (508D), i was wondering how you go about hooking it up with the shock sensor? the brain only has a input normally for the shock sensor. The wiring for each is like the this..
Shock Sensor Wire Colors: Black, Red, Blue, Orange
Dual Zone Sensor: Black, Red, Blue, Green
So if someone could tell me how i should wire this, and if i need diodes where to place them and in what direction would be great!
1. At the schock sensor you can see the following:
A plug with 4 wires (Black, Red, Blue, Orange). Black and red speak for them self. If you look closely you see that blue and orange are actually joined together. If that is not the case, then you should cut the blue wire in the middle. Then join the blue (from the shock sensor) on the orange wire (of the shock sensor). Then you have actually a blue wire that is coming from the shock sensor plug (coming out from the alarm).
2. De dual zone radar sensor: Red to positive. Black to the ground when armed (orange of the alarm). Then cut the plug side of the 508D that are not used. One side plugs into the 508D itself. And cut the other side. Then join the blue and green wire of the 508D together and attach this to the blue wire of the shock sensor.
Your system is a multiplexed system, so it can distinguish signals meaning "warning" and "full trigger". and you still have separate zones for alarms.

so the black wire on the 508d goes to the orange wire on the alarm brains main harness, not the shock sensors orange wire right? so with it hooked up like this i get both benefits of the shock sensors impact feature, and the warn away and full trigger of the 508D right?
that's right. the black from the 508 D goes to the orange (ground when armed) of the alarm.
You system is a multiplexed system,,,,that means it can distinguish between short (warn away) triggers and long (instant alarm) triggers, on one single wire. That gives you the advantage by using the blue and orange wire of the shock sensor for seperate dual zone sensors.
The blue wire is a multiplexed (-) input and reports to zone 2 . Inputs shorter than 0.8 seconds will trigger the Warning Zone response, while input longer that 0,8 will trigger full alarm sequence and reports then to zone 2. In other words, the radar 508 D will work on the blue wire, and so reporting to zone 2.
The orange wire is also a multiplexed (-) input and reports to zone 4 . Inputs shorter than 0.8 seconds will trigger the Warning Zone response, while input longer that 0,8 will trigger full alarm sequence and reports then to zone 4. In other words, the dual zone shock sensor will work on the orange wire, and so reporting to zone 4.
Trust me,,,,,,,,hook it up like I said, and the alarm will give you full benefits of the 508D and the dual zone shock sensor.
